Charity project – Part 3 / 2008

Since 2006 we have been trying to assist Roma kids in Eastern Europe (Bulgaria). Their situation is grave and living conditions are precarious. Please read the report below on the results so far.

In Feb,2008 we have found a boarding school (Internat) which is in a village called Rumyancevo (90KM far from Sofia). There are 40 kids who are orphans or come from a very poor financial situation who eat and sleep in the school. You might recently have seen some program on BBC TV about it.

First Stage: We have successfully supported two school kids in Sofia for the whole of the school year 2007-2008. We are planning to support a further 8 kids for the school year 2008-2009. So far we have selected 6 children to support and here are their names:

1. Emila Julianova Hristova ( Year 1 )

2. Asia Kirolova Marinova ( Year 3 )

3. Miroslava Kirilova Marinova ( Year 4 )

4. Milcho Aneliev Tsolov ( Year 2 )

5. Manuel Sonev Vasilev ( Year 3 )

6. Radostina Soneva Marinova ( Year 2 )

Second Stage: We are planning to renovate a part of the boarding school ( cafeteria ) and to buy tables and chairs, lamps, water taps, mirrors and new beds in order to improve their bedrooms because the kids are eating and sleeping there.

This is our charity project for 2008-2009 and we are trying very hard to make it happen which requires your financial support.
